2017-18 NJFEA State Officers

The 2017-18 NJFEA State Officers were introduced at the 2017 NJFEA Recognition Dinner held at the NJEA Headquarters in Trenton, NJ.  All four participated in leadership training at Lehigh University on August 10th. At the conclusion of the training, the officer positions were decided upon. We congratulate and look forward to working together in the year ahead with this great team!

Anthony Avila, NJFEA President, Hightstown High School
Anthony is interested in teaching English and history at the secondary level.  He enjoys cross country and track, as well as drawing and sculpting.



Shane McDermott, NJFEA Vice President, Burlington Township High School
Shane is interested in becoming a kindergarten teacher.  He enjoys swimming and reading




Amanda D’Agostino, NJFEA Secretary, Southern Regional High School
Amanda is interested in becoming a school-based occupational therapist.  She enjoys swimming, participating in school activities, and spending time with family and friends.



Sreenidhi Viswanathan, NJFEA Communications Officer, West Windsor-Plainsboro High School South
Sreeni is interested in becoming an elementary school teacher.  She enjoys singing in two a capella groups, choir, Indian classical dance, and reading. She is also a peer leader and mentors the incoming freshmen at her high school.
